Applications are now open for the Club of Rome Communications Officer Position 2026.
The Club of Rome is currently accepting applications for its Communications Officer role. This is an exciting international remote opportunity for communications professionals passionate about sustainability, climate action, systems change, and digital storytelling. The position supports the implementation and delivery of the Club of Rome’s global communication strategy across multiple communication channels including websites, newsletters, social media, blogs, and multimedia platforms.
The Communications Officer will work closely with the communications team and support a wide range of activities including content writing, editing, web publishing, social media management, newsletter production, event publicity, stakeholder engagement, database management, and communications reporting. The role also involves supporting major Club of Rome initiatives such as Earth4All, The Fifth Element, The 50 Percent, and the Systems Change Comms Network.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who combines strong editorial and storytelling skills with practical experience across digital communications channels. The successful candidate will help translate complex sustainability and systems-thinking topics into accessible content for global audiences.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Three to five years of experience working on international campaigns or communications projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience writing and editing content for public audiences.
- Experience with social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
- Practical knowledge of Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp, Microsoft Office, and remote collaboration tools.
- Interest in sustainability, systems change, climate communication, and responsible use of AI tools.
- Strong organisational, networking, and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with SEO and Google Analytics is considered an advantage.
The position is fully remote, and applicants can be based anywhere in the world provided they are available for meetings within the European time zone.
