Welcome to the Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme 3.0, a collaborative effort between UNFCCC’s Youth4Capacity programme and UNDP’s Youth4Climate initiative (powered by the
Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security) !

Young climate leaders worldwide can now apply for the Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme 3.0, an international youth mentorship initiative designed to equip emerging changemakers with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to drive meaningful climate action.

The programme is a collaborative initiative between the UNFCCC Youth4Capacity Programme and the UNDP Youth4Climate Initiative, powered by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security. It aims to strengthen youth leadership in climate solutions by providing hands-on training, mentorship, and global networking opportunities.

If you are passionate about climate action, sustainability, youth leadership, and environmental innovation, this programme provides an opportunity to learn directly from experts while collaborating with other youth leaders around the world.


About the Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme

The Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme 3.0 brings together a global cohort of youth who are committed to advancing climate solutions in their communities and beyond.

Participants will take part in a structured learning journey that includes interactive bootcamps, peer learning opportunities, and collaborative engagement sessions. The programme is designed to help young leaders build practical skills in climate project development, leadership, advocacy, and social innovation.

By the end of the programme, participants will be better equipped to design impactful climate initiatives, mobilize communities, and contribute to global climate action efforts.


Programme Structure

The programme features three intensive online bootcamps focused on essential skills for climate leadership and project development.

1. Project Design for Climate Action

Participants will learn how to design effective climate projects, including:

  • Developing climate solutions at local and global levels

  • Project planning and implementation strategies

  • Monitoring and evaluating climate initiatives

  • Resource mobilization and fundraising approaches

2. Movement Building and Climate Advocacy

This bootcamp focuses on strengthening youth-led climate movements and advocacy efforts through:

  • Leadership and community organizing

  • Communication strategies for climate advocacy

  • Building inclusive and impactful climate movements

  • Collaboration with stakeholders and partners

3. Entrepreneurial Mindsets for Climate Innovation

Participants will explore how entrepreneurship can drive climate solutions by learning about:

  • Social entrepreneurship for sustainability

  • Innovative climate business models

  • Problem-solving and systems thinking

  • Scaling climate solutions for greater impact


Programme Format

The Climate Catalysts Mentorship Programme will run for one month and includes:

  • Three online bootcamps

  • 3–4 sessions for each bootcamp

  • Interactive learning with climate experts and practitioners

  • Peer-to-peer engagement through a dedicated online platform

  • Informal networking sessions through Virtual Climate Cafés

This immersive learning structure ensures that participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical tools for advancing climate action.


What Participants Will Gain

Opportunity to Attend COP31

Outstanding participants in the programme may have the exclusive opportunity to attend COP31, the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

Selected youth may also be invited to present and pitch their climate project or solution during the conference, gaining global visibility and engagement with international climate leaders and stakeholders.


Certificate of Participation

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive an official certificate of participation, recognizing their contribution and commitment to climate leadership and youth-led environmental action.
