Important Update: Small Grants Programme 2025/26
We’re pleased to share significant updates to the Small Grants Programme for 2025/26 to help ensure our support reaches the organisations and communities that need it most.
Since 1979, the King Charles III Charitable Fund has invested over £100 million in charitable causes across the UK, the Commonwealth, and internationally. Each year, we distribute approximately £5 million through our large and small grants programmes, supporting over 150 organisations working in:
-
Environment
-
Countryside
-
Education
-
Heritage and Conservation
-
Health and Wellbeing
-
Social Inclusion
What’s New in 2025/26?
In response to growing demand—nearly 1,500 applications received in 2024/25—we’ve reviewed and refined our small grants process based on feedback from over 1,200 applicants and sector-wide insights. Here are the key changes:
-
New income eligibility: Applicants must have annual incomes between £25,000 and £500,000.
-
Updated grant cap: Maximum grant request is £9,000 over three years.
-
Project funding limit: Small grants may contribute to projects costing up to £50,000.
-
Reapplication window: Organisations can reapply two years after the end of a successful or unsuccessful application.
These changes aim to simplify the process and maximise our impact, focusing on smaller organisations delivering vital support in underrepresented communities.
