Seed Funding Program 2025–2026: Apply for Micro-Funding for Ecological Projects

The Seed Funding Program (SFP) has launched a new call for project proposals for its 2025–2026 cycle, supporting youth-led and intergenerational initiatives advancing ecological action and community transformation. In honor of the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’, this edition deepens its commitment to integral ecology—bridging environmental care, social justice, and spirituality.

About the Seed Funding Program

Established in 2021, the Seed Funding Program is a global micro-funding initiative promoted by New Humanity NGO, with the support of Mundell & Associates, and implemented in collaboration with United World Community and EcoOne. The program encourages sustainable, community-based ecological efforts inspired by the principles of Laudato Si’ and the legacy of Chiara Lubich.

Over the past editions, SFP has supported 15 local projects across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, amplifying grassroots actions and cultivating ecological awareness from the ground up.

Vision and Values

This call echoes the message of Laudato Si’: that ecological degradation is deeply intertwined with social injustice and spiritual disconnection. As Pope Francis emphasized, “the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor” must be addressed together.

Inspired by this vision and the teachings of Chiara Lubich, the Seed Funding Program invites young changemakers to respond to local challenges with bold, soul-driven solutions.

“What is missing is not technical or economic resources, but an extra soul — a new love for humanity that makes us feel responsible for one another.” – Chiara Lubich
