Apply Now for the Global Schools Advocates Program: Empowering Educators for Sustainable Development
The Global Schools Advocates Program is a flagship initiative designed to equip primary and secondary school teachers and leaders with the skills, resources, and global network to promote education for sustainable development (ESD). Applications are now open for the 2025 cohort, with a deadline of June 9, 2025.
About the Program
Education for Sustainable Development provides students with the knowledge, values, and critical thinking skills needed to address global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, environmental degradation, and sustainable economic development. The Global Schools Advocates Program supports educators to embed these principles across school curricula, classroom activities, and school-wide operations.
The program was developed based on input from over 220 sustainable development experts and more than 40 experienced educators. It is a cohort-style learning and action experience that emphasizes localized implementation, peer collaboration, and practical impact.
