About the IsDB Young Professionals Program

The IsDB Young Professionals Program is a two-year comprehensive development journey offering participants professional experience, job rotations between the IsDB Headquarters and Regional Hubs, and guaranteed employment upon successful completion. Participants will engage in real development projects from the onset, working on innovative initiatives, building partnerships, and leveraging Islamic finance instruments to deliver tangible impact across IsDB member countries. Through the YPP, young professionals not only gain deep sectoral expertise but also grow personally and professionally within a diverse and dynamic global network.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2025 intake of the IsDB Young Professionals Program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: A Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to IsDB’s work, obtained within four years prior to the application deadline of May 31, 2025.

  • Citizenship: Priority is given to citizens of IsDB member countries.

  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English skills are required, while knowledge of Arabic or French is considered an advantage.

  • Age: Applicants must be no older than 32 years by the deadline.

  • Location and Mobility: Applicants must be willing to relocate to Jeddah and undertake assignments and rotations as needed.

  • Experience: Up to five years of relevant professional experience in one of IsDB’s core sectors, acquired after completing a bachelor’s degree.

Applicants must also demonstrate a strong commitment to the IsDB mission and its development model.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who have graduated with distinction or honors in their Master’s program, recipients of IsDB scholarships, bilingual or trilingual applicants (especially Arabic and French speakers), female candidates, and those holding or pursuing professional certifications or a PhD are strongly encouraged to apply.

Priority Fields of Study

While the YPP welcomes applicants from diverse academic backgrounds, special preference will be given to those specializing in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change, Agricultural Economics and Engineering, Islamic Finance, Transportation, Urban Planning, International Development and Evaluation, Youth and Gender Studies, Economics, Public-Private Partnerships and Investment Management, Education, and Public Health Management.
