Global Fund for Children Partnership Opportunity for Community-Based Organizations – Global, Ongoing

Global Fund for Children (GFC) invites community-based organizations that are working to improve the lives of children and youth to explore partnership opportunities. At GFC, the core mission is to support dynamic and courageous organizations that are deeply embedded in their communities and driving meaningful change. Through strategic partnerships, GFC empowers organizations to create new opportunities for young people and foster environments where they can thrive.

Who Can Apply?

Global Fund for Children partners with organizations around the world that meet specific criteria. Eligible organizations include:

  • Community-Based Organizations: GFC prioritizes local, grassroots organizations with a profound understanding of their community’s needs and challenges.
  • Youth-Led Organizations: Preference is given to organizations that are led by individuals with lived experience, particularly young people themselves.
  • Focus on Systemic Change: Organizations should work to create systemic change, challenge injustices, and create opportunities for children and youth.
  • Non-Discriminatory Practices: GFC supports organizations that promote equality and do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, disability, or sexual orientation.
  • Non-Violent Initiatives: Organizations involved in or supporting violent activities or criminal behavior are not eligible for partnership.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for partnership with Global Fund for Children, organizations must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Global Reach: GFC partners with organizations from a wide range of countries, including regions such as Africa, the Americas, Europe and Eurasia, and Asia.
  • Organizational Focus: Eligible organizations are those working to support marginalized children and youth, particularly in addressing systemic barriers and inequities.

Program Details

Global Fund for Children invests in community-based organizations by forming partnerships that can drive long-term impact. The key details of the program include:

  • Timeline: There is no fixed application deadline. GFC is always open to reviewing new potential partners when funding becomes available or when a new initiative is launched.
  • Geographical Focus: GFC operates globally, with a particular focus on regions such as Africa, the Americas, Europe and Eurasia, and Asia.
  • Program Duration: The duration of support varies depending on the funding and strategic initiatives available.
  • Program Structure: The program is based on building relationships and understanding the needs of the organizations before making a commitment to partnership.
  • Funding: GFC raises all funds that are used to support selected organizations. There are no fees associated with applying to become a partner.

How to Apply / Application Process

GFC simplifies the application process by focusing on building meaningful relationships with potential partners. Rather than requiring formal proposals, GFC connects with organizations through:

  • In-Person Visits: GFC team members visit potential partner organizations to establish relationships and assess alignment.
  • Expression of Interest (EOI): As the first step, GFC encourages organizations to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). This allows the team to learn more about the organization’s work and explore future partnership opportunities.

The EOI process is straightforward and does not involve lengthy application forms. However, interested organizations must submit their EOI to be considered for future funding opportunities.

How to Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)

Organizations interested in partnering with Global Fund for Children can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) using one of the following forms:

Important: The EOI form may not load properly in all browsers. If this occurs, GFC recommends using Google Chrome to complete the form.
