UN Global Pulse Launches Call for Applications for Scale Accelerator Programme
UN Global Pulse is thrilled to announce the launch of its Call for Applications for the Scale Accelerator Programme! The programme is now searching for its next cohort of innovators across the United Nations system, offering a unique opportunity to scale creative solutions that have already demonstrated potential.
Who Can Apply?
The programme is exclusively open to UN colleagues who have previously piloted their innovations and can provide evidence of positive outcomes. To be eligible, teams must have already tested their solutions at least once. Innovations at the ideation stage or those that have yet to be piloted will not be considered.
Application Timeline
Applications for the Scale Accelerator will be open from 10 September until 24 September 2024, with a deadline at midnight EST.
About the Scale Accelerator
Launched in 2023, the Scale Accelerator is designed to help UN teams move innovative solutions from pilot phases to broader implementation. The programme provides a structured, evidence-based curriculum that guides participants in developing sustainable and scalable models for social innovation. The aim is to ensure that impactful ideas reach more people and communities, addressing global challenges through innovative approaches.
Workshop and Expert Support
Selected teams will participate in a workshop held from 11-14 November 2024 in Finland. During this workshop, participants will work alongside a pool of experts to develop strategies for scaling their innovations.
The two teams that demonstrate the most promising scale strategies will receive the Scale Catalyst Grant, with each team being awarded USD 60,000 to support the implementation of their strategies. In addition to financial support, these teams will receive technical assistance and individualized mentoring. This includes guidance on monitoring and evaluation, pitch development, financial management, and other critical components of scaling.
