Overview:
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is leading a vital initiative to engage youth in climate action through a Climate Action Video Campaign. This campaign, running from September to November 2024, aims to raise climate awareness and build momentum for COP29 through a series of impactful videos.
Mission and Objectives:
As a global leader in international development, UNDP works in 170 countries to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. Our mission focuses on sustainable development, democratic governance, and climate resilience. The Climate Action Video Campaign is part of our effort to inspire action against climate change by providing practical tips and expert insights.
Campaign Details:
- Content: The video series will cover climate change basics, UNDP’s role in combating climate change, the significance of COP29, and other related topics such as gender and climate, health impacts, and digital transformation.
- Distribution: Videos will be posted weekly on social media platforms leading up to COP29.
Role of Social Media Influencers:
We are seeking social media influencers to amplify the Climate Action Video Series. Influencers will:
- Share and post video content and social media materials provided by UNDP on their personal platforms.
- Promote the campaign through UNDP Eurasia’s social media channels, including Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Submit an activity report summarizing their coverage outcomes.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in social media management, content creation, or as an influencer is preferred.
- Education: A degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication and writing skills, knowledge of online marketing and media tools.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
