Apply for a Cultivate Fellowship by the Gender and Youth Activity (GAYA) to cultivate inclusion for food security
🔹What is the Cultivate Fellowship?
- A capacity-strengthening opportunity for field-based emergency and resilience food security implementers
- Focus on using qualitative methods to increase gender and youth inclusion
- Cohort of 16-20 members will participate in virtual meetings, workshops, and more
- Fellows will explore how qualitative inquiry can enhance understanding of inclusive resilience dynamics
🔹 Eligibility
- Prospective applicants should apply as a pair from the same program
- Ideal candidates include Gender, Youth, MEL, and CLA Leads from BHA funded Emergency Programs and RFSAs
- Cohorts for implementers from other regions will be hosted in 2025-2026
🔹 What is Expected of Participants?
- Engage in various activities over six months, including virtual and in-person sessions
- Conduct an inclusive resilience-focused qualitative inquiry within their program
- Document and share the findings at a final learning event
🔹Committment
Virtual Preparatory Meetings:
- Period: 4 Weeks
- Modality: Virtual workshops (on Zoom or Teams)
- Duration: 1.5 hours per week
- Worktime: Up to 1 hour per week
Workshop:
- Period: 5 days
- Modality: On site in the MENA-E region (likely Amman, Jordan)
- Duration: 8 hours each day
Virtual Follow-up Meetings:
- Period: 6-8 Weeks (with about 1 month between the 7th and 8th sessions)
- Modality: Virtual workshops (on Zoom or Teams)
- Duration: 1.5 hours per week
