Program Overview

The YPP is an entry-level recruitment initiative that lays the groundwork for a dynamic and fulfilling career at ADB. As a Young Professional (YP), you will gain invaluable experience and insights into ADB’s operations, policies, and procedures through a structured talent management program. The program is aligned with ADB’s Strategy 2030, aiming to develop future leaders who will drive impactful change in the region.

Program Offerings

  • Fixed-Term Appointment: As a YP, you will receive a 3-year fixed-term contract, starting with a placement in an operations or operations support department at ADB’s headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
  • Rotational Assignment: After 18 months, you will rotate to a different area within ADB, broadening your experience and deepening your expertise.
  • Development Opportunities: Participate in missions for fact-finding, project reviews, country programming, sector studies, and more. Engage in various learning programs tailored to your needs as a Young Professional.
  • Career Path: The program is designed to prepare you for a long-term career at ADB, with the goal of evolving into future leaders.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the YPP, you must:

  • Be 32 years old or younger by August 1, 2025
  • Be a national of one of ADB’s member countries
  • Hold a first-level university degree with a strong academic record in a relevant field
  • Have at least 3 years of professional experience related to ADB’s work

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • A strong passion and commitment to development work
  • A willingness to learn and adapt
  • Strong interpersonal skills
