Announcing the 2024 SheGovernsTrade Development Program
tralac is excited to introduce the 2024 SheGovernsTrade Development Program, aimed at mainstreaming gender in Africa’s trade policy and governance. This program complements tralac’s broader training and engagement efforts.
Program Objectives
• Empower Young Women: Equip young women policymakers to enhance trade governance in Africa.
• Enhance Skills: Increase technical trade skills and leadership abilities.
• Build a Network: Connect women trade experts across Africa.
Core Principles
• Gender Mainstreaming: Promote inclusive policy-making to address challenges women face in trade.
• Peer Learning: Foster experience sharing and mentorship among participants.
Program Details
• Duration: Mid-September to mid-November 2024
• Format: Digital, part-time
Application Process
Eligible candidates (preferably 35 years or younger, working in trade-related roles) should:
1. Submit CV: Email your CV to info@tralac.org (subject: SheGovernsTrade2024 Application).
2. Send Video: Record a one-minute video introducing yourself and your motivation. Send it to +27 72 415 2440.
Deadline: Apply by 31 August 2024 (12:00 GMT+2). Selected participants will be notified by 6 September 2024.
