About the Course: The SDG Challenge

Course Title: The SDG Challenge: Advancing Media Information Literacy and Global Citizenship through the Power of Film

This course is available at no cost and allows educators to learn at their own pace. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion. The course focuses on harnessing the power of documentary films to enhance media and information literacy and foster global citizenship among students.

Instructor: Virginia Pittaro

Virginia Pittaro, Director of Global Partnerships at SIMA, leads the course. With 15 years of experience in International Development, she focuses on empowering changemakers and advancing social transformation through impact media. Virginia holds a B.A. in International Affairs and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and International Development.

SIMA is a non-profit impact media agency that supports global social change through documentaries and creative media, aiding content creators, educators, and activists worldwide.
