The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) invites applications for the Master in Anti-Corruption Studies (MACS) programme, set to commence in September 2024. This globally recognized, postgraduate degree programme offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to combating corruption and fostering compliance.

The MACS programme is the first of its kind globally, combining academic rigor with practical activities. It includes seven modules spread over two academic years, culminating in a Master’s Thesis. The curriculum is designed to provide in-depth insights into anti-corruption strategies, drawing from disciplines such as economics, political science, criminology, behavioural science, law, and human rights.

 

Students will have the flexibility to attend classes either online or on-campus. The hybrid format allows for a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning, making it ideal for professionals seeking to balance their studies with their careers.

Curriculum Structure

The MACS programme includes seven modules, each carrying between 13 to 15 ECTS credits, with a Master’s Thesis contributing 21 credits. Modules cover topics such as corruption measurement, policy enforcement, and global best practices. The interactive classes are delivered both virtually and on-campus, with ongoing modules in research methods and teamwork facilitation.

 

Admission Requirements

– Education: Undergraduate degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

– Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant work experience or academic research in anti-corruption and/or compliance. Candidates applying directly from undergraduate studies should have a relevant degree in fields such as economics, law, political science, or sociology.

– Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English.

– Application Fee: 100 EUR (50 EUR for nationals of IACA Parties under specific discount schemes).

 

Application Process

– Deadline: 31 August 2024

– Submit an online application with the required documents and the non-refundable application fee. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within three to four weeks, and scholarship candidates will be invited for an interview.

 

Fees and Discounts

– Programme Fee: EUR 17,900 for the online intake, EUR 22,400 for the hybrid intake.

– The fee covers teaching, materials, and thesis supervision. Other costs such as travel, accommodation, and subsistence for the graduation ceremony are the student’s responsibility. Discounts are available for group applications and under the Preferential Treatment Scheme.
