African Women in Digital Health (AWiDH) Launches Mentorship Program: Call for Applications

The African Women in Digital Health (AWiDH) movement has announced the launch of its mentorship program, aimed at empowering African women in the digital health sector. This initiative is designed to enhance the representation and leadership of African women by improving their business acumen and leadership skills, thereby enabling them to excel in the digital health space.

Key Details:

Who Can Apply: Female founders aged 20-40, who are nationals or residents of any African country. Applicants must demonstrate that their digital health solution addresses the needs of an underserved population and offers measurable improvements over existing public health solutions.
Application Deadline: 23:59 GMT, 30 August 2024.

Program Structure:
• One-on-One Mentorship: Participants will receive guidance from leading African women in the technology sector.
• Week-Long Immersion Program: From 21-25 October, mentees will engage in an intensive experience focused on creativity in business strategy, leadership, product development, marketing, branding, and finance.
• Africa Health Tech Summit Participation: Mentees will attend the Third Africa Health Tech Summit in Kigali, Rwanda, from 29-31 October, where they can network with industry leaders and policymakers.

Program Support and Implementation:

• Leadership: The mentorship program is implemented by Speak Up Africa under the leadership of the African Union and Africa CDC.
• Support: Technical and financial backing is provided by Resolve to Save Lives.

• Applications are open from 30 July 2024 until 30 August 2024.
