UNAIDS Internship Program 2024: Applications Now Open

About the Internship Program:

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) is currently accepting applications for their internship program for the year 2024. This internship opportunity is open to students and recent graduates who are looking to gain valuable experience in the field of public health and international development.

Details:

  • Contract type: Internship
  • Duration: 2 to 6 months, depending on the welcoming division
  • Location: Multiple duty stations, various locations

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate degree program OR have completed a course of study and been awarded a degree within the past year.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application.
  • Working knowledge of at least one of the WHO/UNAIDS official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish).
  • Hold a valid passport/ID from a WHO/UNAIDS Member State.

Financial support:

A stipend may be offered by UNAIDS to contribute to intern’s living expenses, but only to candidates who are not already receiving financial support.

  • Persons with immediate family members employed by the UNAIDS Secretariat are not eligible for internships.
