Position Details:

We are currently seeking a Climate and Trade Fellow/Senior Fellow to join our team in Washington, DC.

  • Full-time position
  • Offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our work on U.S. climate and trade policies that are critical to achieving a net-zero economy.
  • The selected candidate will work closely with our Director for U.S. Policy and Outreach

Role Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for the Climate and Trade Fellow/Senior Fellow include:

  • Developing and leading a new program focused on the intersection of U.S. climate and trade policies
  • Collaborating with policymakers and leading companies to identify impactful climate and trade policies
  • Advocating for policy priorities related to climate and trade
  • Monitoring and reporting on climate and trade developments, both domestically and internationally
  • Representing C2ES at relevant events in Washington and engaging with key stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 4 years of direct experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of direct experience
  • Strong writing, research, and analytic skills
  • Interdisciplinary understanding of climate change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental/climate justice

Additional desired qualifications for the Senior Fellow role include:

  • Master’s degree with at least 5 years of direct experience, or a Ph.D., or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Substantive knowledge of U.S. climate and energy policies

Compensation:

The starting salary for the Climate and Trade Fellow/Senior Fellow position at C2ES ranges from $76,000 to $119,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
