Traineeship with BBC Radio 1

Welcome to the Traineeship with BBC Radio 1!

During this 8-week paid placement, you will receive in-house training from BBC Radio 1 and the prestigious BBC Academy. You will have the opportunity to work across different departments and collaborate with multiple teams, gaining a 360 view of what it’s like to work at an award-winning national broadcaster.

Who we are looking for?

• Proactive individuals with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
• Who are eager to dive into hands-on experiences across all areas at Radio 1, from music teams and live radio shows to social media, visual content, and commissioning.
• Qualifications or prior experience in radio are not necessary, this opportunity is for those at the beginning of their media career.
• You must be 18 or older, have the legal right to work in the UK full time, and be available for the full 8-week placement period in London from 7th October – 29th November 2024.
