2025 Paid Internship Opportunities with the World Bank IFC Global Internship Program (Open to all nationalities)

The IFC Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. This program allows interns to work in a diverse and stimulating environment while contributing to IFC’s mission of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity.

Application and Selection Process

The IFC Global Internship Program receives more than 5,000 applications each year for approximately 70+ internship positions worldwide, including opportunities at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as in regional and country offices.

Key Dates for 2025:

  • Application Period: February 4 – March 2, 2025 (closes at 11:59 PM UTC)
  • Internship Duration: Minimum of 4 weeks between May and September 2025

Eligibility Criteria and Program Structure

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Interns work on discrete projects across investment operations, advisory services, corporate functions, and technical sectors.
  • Many opportunities are available for virtual participation.
  • Interns benefit from corporate orientation, skills training, and networking events.
  • Successful interns may apply for the World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) or full-time roles post-graduation.
