About the Africa CDC Youth Public Health & Digital Health Research Training Workshop 2026
The Public Health & Digital Health Research Training Workshop 2026 is designed to equip young African professionals with practical skills to strengthen their capacity to conduct research and contribute to innovation in public and digital health.
Taking place virtually from 27 to 29 July 2026, the three-day hands-on workshop will provide participants with practical knowledge in research design, research methodology, and the development of strong concept notes.
Organized in collaboration with the West African Institute of Public Health, the training will bring together 100 young professionals from across Africa, creating an opportunity to build research capacity, foster collaboration, and advance digital health innovation across the continent.
What Will Participants Learn?
The training will focus on three core areas:
- Research Design: Strengthening participants’ ability to develop structured and relevant research approaches.
- Research Methodology: Building practical knowledge of methods and approaches for conducting effective research.
- Concept Note Development: Developing the skills needed to prepare clear and compelling research concept notes.
Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with other young professionals interested in public health, digital health, research, technology, and healthcare innovation across Africa.
Who Can Participate?
The Public Health & Digital Health Research Training Workshop is exclusively for members of the Africa Youths in Digital Health Network (YiDHN).
The workshop will accommodate 100 young professionals from across Africa who are interested in strengthening their research capacity and contributing to digital health innovation.
Those who are not yet members of YiDHN can join the network through the onboarding form.
