The Global Civil Society Coalition for the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC Coalition) has officially opened applications for two major international consultancy opportunities for professionals working in anti-corruption, governance, civil society engagement, advocacy, and human rights.
The organization is currently recruiting:
- Regional Coordinator for Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA/MENA)
- Regional Coordinator for Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC)
These are remote, part-time consultancy roles designed for experienced professionals who are passionate about strengthening transparency, accountability, anti-corruption systems, and civil society participation across their respective regions.
The opportunities provide selected consultants with the chance to collaborate with a globally recognized civil society network that works directly on issues related to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), the world’s only legally binding universal anti-corruption instrument.
About the UNCAC Coalition
The UNCAC Coalition is a global network consisting of more than 400 civil society organizations committed to promoting transparency, accountability, anti-corruption reforms, access to information, financial transparency, and human rights protections worldwide.
The Coalition works to strengthen the implementation and monitoring of the United Nations Convention against Corruption by connecting civil society actors, advocacy groups, researchers, policy experts, and governance organizations from around the world.
Its work includes:
- Advocacy and policy engagement

- Producing research and reports

Available Positions
1. Regional Coordinator – Southwest Asia & North Africa (SWANA/MENA)
The Coalition is seeking a consultant to coordinate outreach, communications, advocacy, and civil society engagement activities across the SWANA/MENA region.
The selected consultant will help strengthen relationships with civil society organizations working on anti-corruption and governance issues while also supporting regional advocacy initiatives connected to UNCAC implementation.
2. Regional Coordinator – Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC)
The Coalition is also recruiting a consultant for the Latin America and Caribbean region to support regional anti-corruption engagement, civil society coordination, communications, networking, and research activities.
This role focuses on expanding and strengthening the Coalition’s presence and collaboration across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Position Type and Work Structure
Both opportunities are:
- Remote positions
- Part-time consultancy roles
- International opportunities
- Long-term consultancy engagements
- Flexible working arrangements
Estimated Weekly Workload
Selected consultants are expected to work approximately:
- 6 to 10 hours per week
Candidates who are flexible with their schedules and available for regional coordination activities are strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

International Conference Participation

Main Responsibilities
The Regional Coordinators will support a wide range of activities focused on strengthening anti-corruption civil society engagement in their regions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Civil Society Network Development
- Expand and strengthen regional networks of civil society organizations
- Identify relevant anti-corruption organizations in the region
- Encourage organizations to join the Coalition
- Build stronger collaboration among regional members
Regional Coordination
- Serve as a point of contact for regional civil society organizations
- Liaise between regional organizations and the Vienna Hub team
- Moderate regional email discussion groups
- Facilitate collaboration among members
Events and Meetings
- Organize and moderate 4–5 online regional meetings annually
- Identify speakers and discussion themes
- Coordinate workshops and trainings
- Support virtual advocacy events
Advocacy and Research
- Monitor anti-corruption developments in the region
- Conduct outreach to governments and civil society actors
- Support transparency and accountability initiatives
- Contribute to research and advocacy activities
Content and Communications
- Draft briefing notes and reports
- Produce blog posts and written submissions
- Moderate regional discussions
- Share updates and advocacy materials
Membership and UNCAC Engagement
- Support civil society participation in UNCAC review processes
- Encourage production of civil society parallel reports
- Help administer membership applications
- Promote transparency in UNCAC implementation reviews
Required Qualifications
SWANA/MENA Regional Coordinator
Applicants must:
- Speak and write English and Arabic fluently
- Have strong knowledge of anti-corruption and governance issues in the region
- Possess at least 2 years of experience working with civil society organizations
- Be familiar with political and governance developments in the SWANA region
- Demonstrate strong writing, communication, and moderation skills
- Be self-motivated, organized, diplomatic, and reliable
- Preferably be based within the SWANA region
Latin America & Caribbean Regional Coordinator
Applicants must:
- Speak and write English and Spanish fluently
- Have experience with civil society organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Demonstrate strong understanding of anti-corruption and governance issues
- Be capable of coordinating regional advocacy activities
- Possess excellent communication and networking skills
- Show strong organizational and moderation abilities
- Preferably be based within the LAC region
