About the Regional Community Organizing Institute
The West Africa Regional Community Organizing Institute was established in response to the growing demand for practical leadership development opportunities for civic activists and community organizers working in environments where democracy, freedom, human development, and good governance face significant challenges.
The program serves as a bridge connecting organizers and change-makers from both Anglophone and Francophone West Africa, creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and regional solidarity.
Each year, approximately 30 to 35 outstanding participants are selected from hundreds of applications submitted across the region.
