About the AUDA-NEPAD Youth SRH Ambassadors Initiative

Recognizing the critical role of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in Africa’s development, AUDA-NEPAD has launched the Youth SRH Ambassadors Initiative to place young people at the center of efforts to achieve the continent’s development goals.
The initiative is guided by the Energize Africa Framework, which views young people as active partners and co-creators of change rather than passive beneficiaries. Through advocacy, awareness creation, and community engagement, selected ambassadors will help amplify youth voices and contribute to a healthier, more prosperous Africa.

Roles and Responsibilities of Youth SRH Ambassadors
Selected ambassadors will:
- Promote youth participation in Sexual and Reproductive Health advocacy.
- Amplify AUDA-NEPAD flagship programmes, including Energize Africa and A2DSRH.
- Raise awareness of key African Union frameworks and instruments.
- Advocate for youth health, wellbeing, and empowerment.
- Bridge grassroots realities with national, regional, and continental priorities.
- Engage communities through campaigns, digital advocacy, and youth mobilization efforts.
- Ensure youth perspectives contribute to shaping Africa’s future development agenda.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be young Africans aged 18–35 years, including members of the African diaspora.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Sexual and Reproductive Health advocacy and youth empowerment.
- Have an active digital presence and experience in social media engagement, content creation, or advocacy campaigns.
- Show the ability to mobilize peers and communities.
- Represent diverse regions, genders, languages, and marginalized groups across Africa.
