About the Young Leaders Program (YLP)
The Young Leaders Program is a two-year immersive consulting experience where selected fellows work directly with clients across various sectors. Participants are embedded in small teams, typically consisting of 3–5 consultants, and contribute actively to solving complex business and societal challenges across Africa.
Fellows are based in either:
- Nairobi office
- Addis Ababa office
In addition, there may be opportunities to collaborate with teams across other African offices, offering regional exposure and cross-cultural experience.
What You Will Do (Your Impact)
As a fellow, your role goes far beyond observation. You will be deeply involved in all phases of consulting projects, including:
- Gathering and analyzing critical data
- Formulating and testing hypotheses
- Developing strategic recommendations
- Presenting findings to client leadership
- Supporting implementation of solutions
This hands-on involvement ensures that you build real consulting skills from day one while contributing to meaningful outcomes for clients.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2027 cohort, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a 2026 or early 2027 graduate
- Be based in Kenya or Ethiopia
- Hold an undergraduate or master’s degree with strong academic performance
- Have less than 1 year of continuous work experience
- Demonstrate leadership through extracurricular or professional activities
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be fluent in English (and local language where applicable)
