Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current student (undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD) at:
- University of Melbourne
- La Trobe University
- Be in good academic standing (no minimum WAM required)
- Be enrolled at the start of the fellowship (you may graduate during the program)
- Be either:
- Domestic or international student
- Part-time or full-time student
Important Note
- Students currently overseas can apply, but must be in Victoria, Australia when the program begins
Read Before You Apply
To help you prepare a strong application and avoid common misunderstandings, take note of the following key points:
- The application is designed to take approximately 1.5–2 hours, with a focus on honest reflection rather than perfectly crafted answers.
- Students from both the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University are fully eligible to apply for the 2026 cohort.
- If you are currently overseas, you can still apply. The written stage is conducted online, and accommodations may be made for selection stages. However, you must be physically present in Victoria, Australia when the program begins.
- Applicants must be able to actively participate in in-person workshops and retreats. Short absences may be acceptable, but extended time away from Victoria during the fellowship is not permitted.
- This opportunity is strictly for current students. If you have already graduated, you are not eligible to apply.
- If you are scheduled to graduate during the fellowship, you may still participate, provided you remain engaged and meet all program commitments.
- There is no minimum academic score requirement. However, you must be in good academic standing at your university.
- International students are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Students studying at regional campuses may receive additional financial support to cover travel costs for attending program activities in Melbourne.
