The Summer School on Managing Africa’s Extractive Future 2026 is now open for applications. Hosted by ACEP with support from NRGI under the Anglophone Africa Extractive Industries Knowledge Hub (AFREIKH), this one-week intensive summer school is designed to close knowledge gaps, build leadership capacity, and equip participants with practical tools for managing Africa’s natural resources more effectively.
A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available for selected applicants.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an Anglophone African country
- Hold a role in an institution working in extractives, energy, governance, media, academia, parliament, or related sectors
- Have at least three years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrate strong interest in natural resource governance and energy transition issues
- Be available to participate fully in the entire program
- Have strong written and spoken English skills
