The selected candidate will lead WFP’s TikTok presence and support the organization’s broader vertical video strategy across platforms such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Management & Strategy
- Manage and grow WFP’s TikTok account with engaging, high-quality content
- Develop and execute a vertical video strategy across multiple platforms
- Monitor trends, algorithm updates, and emerging features
- Provide guidance to regional and country offices on content creation
- Test new platforms and recommend strategic investments
Content Creation & Production
- Produce and edit short-form video content using tools like TikTok and CapCut
- Serve as a visible representative of WFP on social platforms
- Adapt existing content into engaging vertical video formats
- Collaborate with global teams to align messaging and storytelling
Community Engagement
- Monitor comments and engage audiences through replies, duets, and stitches
- Support community-building efforts and manage brand interactions
- Escalate reputational risks or sensitive issues when necessary
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze performance metrics and audience behavior
- Provide monthly reports on growth, engagement, and content performance
- Identify trends and best practices to improve digital strategy
Content & Resource Management
- Build and maintain a library of reusable video assets
- Develop templates and toolkits for global teams
- Coordinate with regional offices to source relevant content
Expected Deliverables
By the end of the contract, the Platform Manager is expected to:

- Increase TikTok audience growth and engagement
- Develop a comprehensive content library

Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing social media platforms
- Proven success in creating high-performing or viral video content
- Experience with NGOs, international organizations, or humanitarian agencies is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of TikTok and video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Splice)
- Excellent storytelling and visual content skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proactive, strategic, and able to work independently
Languages
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of another UN language (French, Spanish, or Arabic) is an asset
