Program Overview
Launched in 2025, the ASPPH/CDC Tribal Health Department Fellowship Program is a collaboration between the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The program is designed to strengthen Tribal Health Departments by placing skilled public health graduates into host sites where they can contribute to priority-driven projects while gaining hands-on experience.
Fellows will:

- Build practical, career-ready skills in Tribal public health

Fellowship Placement Locations

Each site offers a unique project aligned with its public health priorities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Hold a graduate-level degree in public health from a CEPH-accredited ASPPH member institution
- Have completed their degree between May 2021 and August 2026
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder)
