The Girls Who Code Pathways 2026 Summer Program is a free, flexible, and fully virtual learning experience designed to empower high school girls and non-binary students to explore technology and create meaningful, purpose-driven projects. Over seven weeks, participants gain hands-on experience in some of the most in-demand fields in tech—all while learning at their own pace.

Whether you’re a beginner or already have coding experience, Pathways offers a supportive community, real-world exposure, and the opportunity to build skills that matter.

  • Duration: 7 Weeks
  • Dates: June 29, 2026 – August 14, 2026
  • Cost: Free

This asynchronous program allows students to complete coursework on their own schedule while still benefiting from optional live events, mentorship opportunities, and peer collaboration.

  • Extended Early Deadline: February 27, 2026
  • Final Deadline: April 10, 2026

Program Structure & Experience

Each course includes step-by-step tutorials and a hands-on project. Students typically spend:

  • 3–6 hours per course
  • 8–15 hours per full track

Participants can complete multiple courses and earn certificates for each. To become a program alum, students must complete at least one course.

Who Can Apply?

  • High school girls and non-binary students (grades 8–12 in 2025–2026 school year)
  • International students aged 14–18 are also eligible
  • Students of all coding levels, including beginners

Returning students and alumni from previous Girls Who Code programs are also welcome to apply.

How to Apply

  • The application takes about 10 minutes to complete
  • Must be submitted by the student (not a parent or teacher)
  • Cannot be edited after submission
  • Students under 18 should review with a parent/guardian
