Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) 2026: Funding Opportunity for Local Organizations in Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), an initiative by Global Affairs Canada, is now accepting applications for its 2026 funding cycle. This program is designed to support small, high-impact projects led by local organizations in developing countries, including Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia.

With an annual budget of CAD $26.8 million, CFLI empowers grassroots organizations to implement innovative solutions that create measurable and lasting change within their communities.

About the CFLI Program

The CFLI funds approximately 650 projects annually across more than 120 eligible countries. What makes this initiative unique is its strong focus on local leadership—projects are designed and implemented by local organizations that understand community needs best.

These projects are selected and approved by Canadian diplomatic missions, including the Canadian Embassy responsible for Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia.
