📌 About the Opportunity

The UN Women JPO Programme Analyst (P2 level) position focuses on Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE), a key priority area in Malawi. As part of this role, you will contribute to designing, implementing, and evaluating programmes that promote income security, decent work, and economic autonomy for women.

Working closely with UN Women teams, government stakeholders, and international partners, you’ll help drive initiatives in areas such as:

  • Entrepreneurship and skills development

  • Digital inclusion and ICT for women

  • Agricultural value chains and employment creation

  • Policy development and gender equality frameworks

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

As a Programme Analyst, you will:

  • Support programme design, implementation, and evaluation

  • Monitor results using Results-Based Management tools

  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building to partners

  • Coordinate programme activities and partnerships

  • Contribute to reporting, budgeting, and donor engagement

  • Support advocacy and knowledge-building initiatives

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, social sciences, gender studies, international development)

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience

  • Strong analytical, communication, and programme management skills

  • Fluency in English (additional UN languages are an asset)
