The James Aryam Postgraduate Scholarship 2026 is now open for applications, offering fully funded postgraduate study opportunities for eligible female refugees residing in Kenya or Uganda. This initiative is implemented in collaboration with Windle International Kenya and Windle International Uganda, providing talented refugee women the opportunity to pursue postgraduate education in Uganda.
The scholarship aims to empower women affected by displacement and conflict by enabling them to access advanced education in education-related fields. Through financial support, academic opportunities, and mentorship, the program seeks to build a new generation of leaders who can contribute to rebuilding and strengthening their communities.
What the Scholarship Covers
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial support for their postgraduate studies. The scholarship package includes:

Fields of Study
Scholarships are available for students pursuing taught Master’s degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas in education-related subjects. These programmes aim to develop skilled educators, policy experts, and leaders who can contribute to improving education systems in their communities.

Applicants must apply to one or more of the following universities in Uganda:

Windle Trust International recommends that candidates apply to at least two universities to increase their chances of admission.
Application Process
To apply for the scholarship, candidates must complete the following steps:

Review the full eligibility criteria to ensure that all requirements are met. Exceptions are not made to these criteria.

Apply to at least one of the specified universities for August 2026 admissions in an eligible education-related programme.

Complete the Windle Trust International scholarship application form via the official online portal.

Upload proof of your university application submission when submitting the scholarship application.

Attend an interview if shortlisted, which will take place either in the applicant’s current country of residence or online.
Applicants must complete both the university application and the scholarship application in order to be considered.

Application Costs
Windle Trust International does not charge any fees for scholarship applications.
