The United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) is seeking a Network & Membership Coordinator to help strengthen and expand its global youth peacebuilding network. Based in The Hague, Netherlands, this role offers a unique opportunity to support youth-led organizations working toward peaceful societies across more than 80 countries.
This position is ideal for professionals passionate about locally led peacebuilding, youth engagement, and international network coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding the development of UNOY’s global network and ensuring strong collaboration between member organizations.
About UNOY
The United Network of Young Peacebuilders is a youth-led global network consisting of 100+ youth-led organizations operating in more than 80 countries. The network supports youth working in peacebuilding by facilitating collaboration, advocacy, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.
The organization’s International Secretariat is located in The Hague—the City of Peace and Justice—and is composed of a diverse international team of staff, interns, and regional coordinators.
UNOY has been implementing a decentralization strategy since 2017, transferring greater leadership and resources to regional structures. In 2026, the organization will develop a new roadmap to guide decentralization efforts through 2030.
Position Overview
The Network & Membership Coordinator will oversee network development, member engagement, and regional coordination across UNOY’s six global regions.
The role involves close collaboration with regional coordinators, staff members, partners, and donors to ensure effective communication and coordination within the network.
The selected candidate will also recruit and manage a Network Officer and support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Workload: Part-time (0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week)

Start Date: Early May 2026

Office Requirement: At least 50% of working hours must be spent in the office
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Coordination and Development
-
Oversee the ongoing decentralization process of the global network
-
Coordinate and support the work of six Regional Coordinators
-
Assist with the development and monitoring of regional action plans
-
Facilitate International Steering Group meetings and elections
-
Strengthen coordination and accountability across different network bodies
2. Membership Engagement and Communication
-
Manage the annual membership application and disaffiliation process
-
Maintain and update UNOY’s membership database
-
Encourage active participation of member organizations
-
Facilitate communication across the network’s internal structures
-
Share opportunities and resources with member organizations
3. Project Implementation
-
Design and implement global and regional projects for network members
-
Lead the network’s peer-learning initiatives and collaborative activities
-
Monitor and evaluate project outcomes
4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Organizational Learning
-
Contribute to organizational monitoring and evaluation processes
-
Support outcome harvesting and impact reporting

Represent UNOY at international conferences and advocacy events

Recruit, manage, and supervise the Network Officer
Requirements
Candidates should have:
-
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as peace studies, international relations, development studies, or gender studies

At least two years of experience in peacebuilding, humanitarian work, development, or human rights

Experience in network coordination or community management
-
Strong relationship management and intercultural communication skills
-
Commitment to locally led peacebuilding, gender equity, and decolonization
-
Excellent English communication skills
Additional language skills such as French, Spanish, or Arabic are considered an advantage.

Important Eligibility Note
