Based at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium, the programme provides hands-on exposure to international cooperation, policy, communications, technology, and operational support while receiving a monthly stipend.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the NATO SHAPE Internship Programme, applicants must:

Be citizens of a NATO member nation

Be at least 21 years old at the time of application

Demonstrate strong English proficiency (primary working language)

Have completed a first university degree

Be current MA/MSc or PhD students, or recent graduates (within the last 18 months)
Normally, candidates should not be over 35 years old unless engaged in a PhD programme relevant to SHAPE.

Yes. The internship includes financial support.
