What Is the Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity Fellowship?

The Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity is a fully funded, one-year leadership fellowship designed to develop global professionals committed to tackling inequities in health and well-being. It brings together diverse participants across sectors — from healthcare and academia to law, media, housing, business, research, and more — building leaders with a cross-sector mindset to drive impactful change.

The fellowship is hosted by the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University and is part of the Atlantic Fellows global community, a network dedicated to advancing equity around the world.

What You’ll Do: Program Structure

Once selected, Fellows are expected to:

• Attend in-person convenings throughout the year (total ~4 weeks)

• Participate in a robust online curriculum (biweekly sessions + mentorship + team learning)

• Engage in peer mentoring, coaching, and leadership development

• Develop and advance a health equity project during the fellowship year

This hybrid learning experience includes both virtual and face-to-face components, designed to build real-world leadership and impact skills.
