Trevor Noah Foundation – Call for Participation 2026 Career Expos & Take a Learner to Work Initiative (Khulani Schools Programme – KSP)
The Trevor Noah Foundation is inviting organisations and companies—especially those based in Pretoria and Johannesburg—to express interest in participating in the 2026 Khulani Schools Programme (KSP) through two major initiatives:
- Career Expos 2026
- Take a Learner to Work (TALTW) Initiative
These programmes aim to expand career exposure, empower young people, and bridge the gap between education and the world of work.
Who Can Participate?
The Foundation welcomes participation from:
- STEM-focused organisations
- Companies from all industries
- Organisations operating in Pretoria and Johannesburg
Participation allows organisations to inspire and mentor young learners while helping shape South Africa’s future workforce.
Who Are These Initiatives For?
Designed for Grade 9, 10, and 11 learners, the programmes provide exposure to:
- Career pathways
- Industry sectors
- Study options
- Real workplace environments (through TALTW)
These initiatives help learners connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities and make informed decisions about their futures.
Take a Learner to Work (TALTW): Opening Doors, Expanding Horizons
The TALTW initiative has been deeply impactful since its launch. As described in a reflection by Bongani Nkonjwa, a former learner from Soweto:
“This initiative opens our learners’ eyes to new possibilities, giving them exposure, hope, and belief. It shows them that success is not just for others — it’s something they can achieve too.”
Following a successful pilot in 2024, the initiative continues to grow, offering meaningful work-based learning experiences.
