Remote Policy and Advocacy Coordinator Role at WINGS: Global Philanthropy and Development Finance
WINGS is seeking an experienced Policy and Advocacy Coordinator to strengthen its global policy positioning and support collective advocacy efforts across its international network. This is a fully remote, full-time consultant role open to candidates worldwide and offers the opportunity to shape global conversations on philanthropy, development finance, and civil society.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Policy and Advocacy, the Policy and Advocacy Coordinator will support the design, development, and execution of WINGS’ policy and advocacy agenda. The role combines policy analysis, coordination, and strategic engagement to ensure philanthropy is well positioned within global development finance and enabling policy environments.
This position plays a key analytical and coordination role in strengthening WINGS’ global voice and supporting advocacy efforts across its diverse membership.
Key Responsibilities
Policy and Strategic Support
The coordinator will support the development and implementation of WINGS’ policy and advocacy strategies, monitor and analyse global and regional policy trends affecting philanthropy, and translate research and programmatic evidence into clear policy insights and advocacy recommendations. The role also involves providing operational and coordination support to collective advocacy initiatives with members and partners.
Stakeholder Engagement and Representation
Responsibilities include stakeholder mapping, relationship management, and support for WINGS’ engagement with policymakers, governments, multilateral organisations, and other key actors. The coordinator will help organise advocacy events and prepare briefing materials for high-level policy dialogues, forums, and international convenings.
Research, Knowledge, and Communications
The role supports coordination of research findings across teams, translates technical policy concepts into accessible recommendations, and contributes to documenting advocacy outcomes and lessons learned. Collaboration across regions and programmes is central to ensuring policy and advocacy work is well integrated into WINGS’ broader mission.
Contract Type and Compensation
This is a fully remote consultant position with a level of effort of approximately 40 hours per week. The initial contract is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Compensation ranges from USD 30,000 to USD 40,000 per year, adjusted based on geographic location and experience.
