Stop Online Harm (SOH), a women-led organization combatting technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) across Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, is hiring a Communication Manager to shape its digital storytelling, campaigns, and regional communications.
This is a key leadership role for a mission-driven professional passionate about digital rights, feminist values, and protecting communities from online harm.
About Stop Online Harm
SOH works to support individuals experiencing online abuse, including activists, journalists, women in public life, LGBTQIA+ communities, and youth leaders. Their work spans:
- Research and evidence-building
- Rapid response and survivor support
- Advocacy and policy engagement
- Digital campaigns and public education
They aim to tell powerful, human-centered stories that shift narratives and strengthen digital justice across Southeast Asia.
Position: Communication Manager
- Location: Remote (SEA timezone preferred)
- Employment Type: Full-time, 4-day work week
- Reports to: CEO
This role is central to scaling SOH’s impact by elevating its voice across the region through strategic communication, storytelling, and social media engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Digital Communications
- Lead and manage SOH’s social media presence across all project countries
- Support country teams to ensure safe, survivor-centered engagement
- Develop and oversee a strategic content calendar
- Monitor trends, performance metrics, and share insights
2. Communications & Project Management
- Coordinate with designers, partners, writers, and country teams
- Manage content briefs, production timelines, and budgets
- Approve content to ensure alignment with SOH values and identity
- Maintain organized communications assets
- Represent SOH in regional collaborations and partnerships
Who Should Apply
Essential Skills & Experience
- Background in communications, project management, or account management
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in project management tools
- Excellent written/spoken English
- Collaborative and care-centered communication style
- Experience in digital campaigns, content strategy, or design guidance
Highly Desirable
- Experience in gender justice, humanitarian work, or digital rights
- Knowledge of Southeast Asian languages (Burmese, Thai, Lao, Khmer)
- Understanding of intersectional feminist and ethical communications
