Applications are now open for the 2026 Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Graduate Certificate Scholarships at Arizona State University (ASU). This fully funded opportunity supports young African leaders to gain in-demand professional skills through flexible online graduate certificates in Supply Chain Management or Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The program is designed to equip participants with practical leadership and career-ready competencies while preparing outstanding scholars for possible progression into fully funded online master’s degrees.

About the Scholarship

The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University, offers fully funded professional graduate certificate programs delivered entirely online. Scholars learn while remaining in their home countries and are expected to apply their knowledge to advance social and economic development in their communities.

Participants who successfully complete the certificate will automatically be considered for a fully supported online master’s degree scholarship.

Available Graduate Certificate Programs

  • Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management

  • Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Both programs are part-time and flexible, allowing working professionals to study remotely.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship covers:

  • Full tuition for the ASU graduate certificate

  • Flexible online learning format

  • One-on-one coaching and mentorship

  • Opportunity to be selected for a fully funded online master’s degree (Supply Chain Management or Leadership/Management fields)

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of an African country

  • Be aged 18–33 by the application deadline

  • Hold an undergraduate degree by July 2026

  • Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need

  • Show leadership experience and community engagement

  • Not be enrolled in or hold a master’s degree

  • Commit to ethical leadership and community development

Women, refugees, displaced persons, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
