About the International Coproduction Fund (IKF)
The International Coproduction Fund (IKF), managed by the Goethe-Institut, supports international coproductions in the fields of music, dance, and theatre.
IKF promotes partnership-based and dialogue-oriented collaborations that encourage international cultural exchange. The fund supports innovative artistic productions and strengthens global cultural networks through intercultural collaboration.
Funding for International Collaboration Projects
The IKF provides financial support for projects that:
Foster international artistic collaboration
Encourage intercultural dialogue
Develop innovative production methods
Build sustainable global cultural networks
Eligible disciplines include:
Music
Dance
Theatre
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Application Period (First Round)
Applications are accepted from:
15 January 2026 – 1 April 2026
This round supports projects:
Starting in July 2026
Ending by 1 October 2027
From 2026 onward, there are two confirmed application rounds per year.
Second Application Round
The second round will run:
Mid-July – 1 October 2026
This round is for projects:
Starting in 2027
Ending by 1 April 2028
