Applications are now open for the 10th cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa, a flagship equity-free accelerator programme designed to support growth-stage, AI-driven startups building scalable solutions for Africa. The 2026 cohort marks a strategic shift toward AI-first and deep-tech innovation, reflecting Africa’s transition from consumer-focused applications to more advanced, research-driven technologies with the potential to transform healthcare, financial services, logistics, education, and broader societal systems. The 12-week hybrid programme will run from April to June 2026, combining remote and in-person engagement.
About Google for Startups Accelerator Africa
Launched in 2018, the accelerator is part of Google’s long-term $1 billion commitment to Africa’s digital transformation. Over the past nine years, the programme has supported 180+ startups across 17 African countries, whose alumni have collectively:
