Zayed Sustainability Prize 2026 – Global Sustainability Solutions
The Zayed Sustainability Prize is now accepting applications for its 2026 cycle, offering major funding to organisations and initiatives delivering impactful, innovative, and scalable solutions in sustainability and humanitarian development worldwide. Now in its 18th year, the Prize recognises proven approaches that advance sustainable development and improve lives across communities.
Winning organisations in the core sustainability categories will each receive USD 1 million to expand and scale their impact. These categories include Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Climate Action. In addition, the Global High Schools category supports student-led sustainability projects, awarding up to USD 150,000 per school across six world regions.
The Prize elevates organisations and young leaders whose solutions have demonstrated measurable results in improving access to essential services, strengthening climate resilience, and promoting long-term community well-being.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include:
- Small and medium-sized enterprises with established sustainability solutions
- Non-profit organisations delivering impactful programmes
- Global High Schools implementing student-led sustainability initiatives
Applicants must demonstrate that their solution has already created positive impact and has strong potential to scale.

Organisational categories (USD 1 million each):

Global High Schools category:
- Student-led projects tackling sustainability challenges, with up to USD 150,000 awarded per school across six regions
Evaluation Process
Applications are assessed through a multi-stage review process that considers impact, innovation, and inspiration. Submissions undergo technical screening, expert evaluation, and final jury selection.
How to Apply
Applicants must complete and submit their entry through the official Zayed Sustainability Prize online portal by selecting the appropriate category and providing all required documentation. There is no fee to apply.
Deadline
- Application deadline: 15 June 2026
Winners will be announced at the official Awards Ceremony in 2027, gaining international recognition and visibility for their work.
