What the Scholarship Covers

The Australia Awards Africa Scholarship is fully funded and typically covers:

• Full tuition fees for the duration of the Master’s program

• Return economy airfare to and from Australia

• Establishment allowance upon arrival

• Contribution to living expenses

• Academic and pastoral support throughout the study period

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be citizens of an eligible African country and reside and work in their country of citizenship or another African country

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

• Not already possess a Master’s degree

• Be a mid-level to senior-level professional currently employed in a relevant field

• Meet postgraduate work experience requirements

• Demonstrate a clear plan to apply the skills and knowledge gained toward development, reform, or improved practice in their home country

• Meet English language proficiency requirements

• Satisfy Australian student visa (subclass 500) requirements
