Empowering Youth Voices: The Youth Ambassador Programme 2026

The Youth Ambassador Programme has been a cornerstone of our work to amplify young people’s voices and ensure they are heard where decisions that affect their lives are made. As we prepare for the 2026 cohort, we are proud to reflect on the impact of the programme and invite passionate young people to be part of the next chapter.

At the heart of the programme is a commitment to youth voice, representation, and systems change. Through advocacy, public engagement, and lived-experience storytelling, our Youth Ambassadors play a vital role in shaping conversations around youth employment, opportunity, and inclusion.

What Our Youth Ambassadors Do

Inspiring People

Our Youth Ambassadors share their personal stories and lived experiences to influence policy, practice, and public understanding. Through youth voice sessions, panels, and public speaking engagements, ambassadors help ensure that discussions about young people are informed by real experiences.

Youth Voice Census

Ambassadors actively advocate for the Youth Voice Census, encouraging participation and driving completions to help gather critical data. This data provides must-know insights into young people’s experiences, challenges, and aspirations, strengthening evidence-based decision-making.

Raising the Bar

Youth Ambassadors are committed to improving systems for their peers. They work collaboratively with stakeholders to challenge existing structures, propose solutions, and promote fairer outcomes for young people across education, employment, and training pathways.

Making an Impact

Our Youth Ambassadors have supported and contributed to key initiatives, including:

• The APPG for Youth Employment
• Keynote presentations and report launches at industry conferences
• Participation in national symposiums and policy discussions
• In-person and virtual Youth Voice Census presentations

Their involvement has helped elevate youth perspectives in spaces where decisions are made, ensuring that young people are not only consulted but genuinely listened to.

• Represent youth voices at events and consultations
• Contribute to national research and advocacy initiatives
• Build skills in leadership, communication, and public engagement
• Work alongside professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders
