These studentships celebrate 60 years of world-leading research, aiming to tackle global challenges through the synergy of business, science, and society.


About the 60th Anniversary Doctoral Excellence PhD Studentships

The fully funded studentships are open to international and home candidates pursuing full-time studies in the PhD and Integrated PhD (IPhD) programmes at Durham University Business School. These studentships cover research areas in Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Management & Marketing.


Angelo Solarino Memorial PhD Studentship

In memory of Dr. Angelo Solarino, this special studentship supports a doctoral researcher who shares his dedication to curiosity-driven, rigorous research and academic excellence.

Funding Details

  • Stipend: £20,780 per year (UKRI rate)

  • Tuition Fees: Covered for both international and home candidates

  • Duration: Full duration of the programme
