University of Glasgow African Excellence Award 2026/27

The University of Glasgow is now accepting applications for the African Excellence Award for the 2026/27 academic session. This prestigious scholarship is aimed at high-achieving students from Africa who wish to pursue a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s degree at a world top 100 university and who are committed to making a positive contribution to their communities.

There are Sixteen (16) Fully Funded Master’s Scholarships for African Students. The award supports future leaders and changemakers by removing financial barriers and enabling talented students to gain advanced knowledge and skills in their chosen fields.


Scholarship Benefits

Up to 16 scholarships are available for eligible students for the September 2026 intake.

An offer of admission is not required to submit the scholarship application, but applicants must hold an offer to be considered for the interview stage. Early programme application is strongly encouraged.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the online scholarship application form. A student ID and application number are required at the time of application.

University of Glasgow scholarships and discounts cannot be combined with other university awards or external sponsorships, with the exception of the Alumni Discount. If an applicant is awarded more than one scholarship, the lower-value award will be removed.
