Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) – Online Applications Open for 2026
The Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) is now open for applications for fully funded postgraduate degree for the 2026 Fall Semester, offering outstanding international students the opportunity to undertake advanced PhD studies in Taiwan.
TIGP is jointly organized by Academia Sinica—one of Asia’s leading research institutions—and top national research universities in Taiwan. The program provides an advanced, research-oriented, and fully English-taught academic environment designed to nurture the next generation of global scholars.
About the Program
The Taiwan International Graduate Program delivers high-quality doctoral training across a wide range of disciplines, including life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. Students benefit from close supervision, access to cutting-edge research facilities, and collaboration with internationally recognized faculty.
The program offers fourteen specialized sub-programs, allowing applicants to pursue focused and interdisciplinary research aligned with their academic interests.
Financial Support
TIGP provides generous financial support to enable students to focus fully on their research, including:
- Monthly stipend
- Full or partial tuition fee coverage
- Health insurance
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following general requirements:
- Hold, or be close to completing, a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Show good English proficiency
- Apply to only one TIGP program per intake

- Sustainable Chemical Science and Technology (Joint Admission Program)
Each program has specific research themes and admission requirements, which should be consulted prior to application.

- Applications close on 1 February 2026 at 23:59 (GMT+8)
- Applicants must register an online account here to begin the application
- Each applicant may apply to only one TIGP program
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
