Paid European Work Experience for Lund University Students (2026–2027 Cycle)

Lund University in Sweden has opened applications for the Erasmus+ Traineeship Grant 2026, a mobility grant designed to support students seeking hands-on professional experience in another European country. Unlike a traditional degree scholarship, this grant funds practical training, professional placements, and research-related traineeships that strengthen employability and global competence.

Open to students of all nationalities, this opportunity allows Lund University students to carry out a traineeship during their studies—or immediately after graduation—within an Erasmus+ programme country.


What the Erasmus+ Traineeship Offers

This traineeship grant provides financial and academic support for practical, work-based experience abroad. Eligible traineeships may include:

Students may receive Erasmus+ funding multiple times, up to a total of 12 months per study cycle (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD).

Your application must be submitted at least one month before the traineeship starts.
Applications cannot be submitted retroactively.

For post-graduation traineeships, you must apply before completing your degree.

How to Apply

  1. Create an account in the Erasmus Database
  2. Complete the traineeship grant application with detailed information
  3. Upload required documents, such as:
    • Learning Agreement
    • Motivation Letter
    • CV
    • Certificate of Registration (Ladok)
  4. Email erasmuspraktik@global.lu.se to notify completion

Each application must be written individually, even if multiple students apply to the same host.

Special note:
For traineeships in Denmark (Zealand), you must upload your rental agreement before starting the traineeship.


If You Are Awarded the Grant

Recipients will receive official confirmation and further instructions regarding:

Students must live in the host country for the full duration; commuting or remote work is not permitted.
