Study in Japan: Japanese Government (MEXT) Masters/PhD Scholarship Programme 2026-27
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) of Japan is pleased to announce the 2026-27 Research Student Scholarship for international students. This prestigious scholarship aims to foster future global leaders who will strengthen friendship and collaboration between Japan and countries around the world.
The Embassy Recommendation route of the MEXT Scholarship provides selected candidates with a fully funded opportunity to pursue graduate-level research (Master’s/PhD) in Japan, starting in April or September/October 2027.

Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants must:
