Vilcek Foundation Grants 2026

The Vilcek Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 Grant Program, supporting mission-driven nonprofit organizations that uplift immigrant communities and celebrate their contributions to the arts, sciences, education, and social services in the United States.

Through its grantmaking, the foundation partners with innovative organizations that take creative, original approaches to advancing their missions and delivering meaningful impact. Grants are designed to help nonprofits expand reach, engage diverse audiences, and strengthen their operations through one-time, non-renewable funding.

Funding Focus Areas

The Vilcek Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that:

• Support immigrants in the arts, sciences, education, or social services

• Develop innovative programs or projects with measurable impact

• Serve communities in ways that distinguish them from similar organizations

• Demonstrate creativity, originality, and strong organizational capacity

In addition to open-call grants, the foundation awards a limited number of Institutional and Discretionary Grants, identified directly by the foundation.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

Applicant organizations must:

• Be a U.S.-based nonprofit operating under IRS Section 501(c)(3)

• Conduct activities primarily in the United States or U.S. territories

• Be in good standing with the IRS and compliant with nonprofit regulations

• Provide required documentation, including:

  • Signed W-9 with valid EIN

  • IRS determination letter

  • Most recent Form 990 (or equivalent)

  • Audited financial statement

  • Annual operating budget and proposal budget (if applicable)

Funding Restrictions

The Vilcek Foundation does not fund:

• Organizations working with fiscal sponsors

• Scientific research

• Capital projects or capital campaigns

• Fundraising events (galas, award ceremonies, etc.)

• K–12 or charter schools

• Political campaigns or advocacy

• Grant renewals (all grants are one-time awards)

Past grantees must observe a two-cycle waiting period before reapplying.
